My Bio

Self-taught brutalist humanist abstract expressionist, photographer, artist, and designer.

I encourage viewers to see the ordinary with different perspectives, and present the extraordinary in an accessible manner.

I like shooting rubbish on the streets, intriguing shopfronts, interesting architecture, pale subjects, abandoned objects, and infusing everyday scenes with an oppressive and unsettling quality. I am heavily inspired by street style, fashion, art, architecture, and travelling with an open mind. I do not perform any post-production on my photos.

"Better nouveau than never." - Groucho Marx

Hi! I've been submitting my photos from Osaka and Nara in 2019. I'm thankful for all of the interactions on them. Here's what I'll be submitting next: Even more Japan photos, including a number of beautiful Japanese gardens! A roll of infrared photos with my Holga 135BC, taken across Ireland A roll of Lomography Metropolis from NYC (I've just come back from there) I've also been working on music - you can listen to my tracks on SoundCloud or YouTube.

I've just come back from Brighton, England and NYC which were my first holidays abroad since the pandemic began. Brighton pics are already up and can be seen below, NYC ones are on the way. It seems that my country's main airport is struggling, so I can't plan any more trips yet. Since I last posted, I had my first and second experiences with burnout, which led to discoveries about myself, and ultimately to healing. I've started a company, and will soon start a career in a new line of work. There's no getting around it, my art and photography has slowed down, but it'll start back up again. Whoever you are, wherever you are - hang in there, we got this.

It's been a while. Since the last journal entry, 4 years have passed, I'm in a different job, and most shocking of all...I've bought a digital camera, my lovely Fujifilm X100f. I did not think that I could feel this way about a digital camera, but I do. I wanted as many manual controls as possible, tight control over the focus, and a fixed lens. I still love analog photography and all of its beautiful unpredictability (not to mention my much lighter cameras), but this fills the gap nicely in my current faster-paced lifestyle. I've also become a stock photographer - check out my portfolio. (Don't worry - I save my favourite, best, and most m
